40 movement points and phasewalk leads to incredible mobility. Voidtech: Amazon Echo Walkers are imho one of the best melee units in the game. Currently Parasitic Infection also causes Bio weakness (helpful for Kir’Ko) but this will change with the patch. Conversely all Kir’Ko units are biological and can thus use Xenoplague mods. Plague Lords can be equipped with biochemical mods or the accuracy mod (Heigthened Vision), the other Xenoplague units with melee, regeneration or resurgence mods. Xenoplague: For Kir’Ko most mods are interchangeable. Assembly on the other hand is a good melee faction due to Assimilate and melee mods and allows to compensate the damage with reassemble mods or units. Imho Celestian is most effective with melee heavy armies: It provides a Stagger Resistance mod, a melee CC mod and two other mods that rely on getting attacked. Additionally the Syndicate lineup includes Psy units itself that can benefit from Psynumbra Mods and likewise can Initiate and Malictor benefit from the accuracy mod (Exploitative Targeting System) and the Psionics weapon techs.Ĭelestian: Assembly is probably not an obvious choice. Through Fueled by Servitude Syndicate Initiate and Malictor gain unique bonus damage for every Indentured. Psynumbra doesn’t have much synergies anyway except with Syndicate and Kir’Ko. So, what faction-tech combinations would you use in Planetfall if you could choose every faction and every secret tech only once? I think the question how to get the most out of the possible constellations is a great puzzle, and for Plantefall as well. For example with Tigran Warlord in the first round the following rounds weren’t allowed to include neither Warlord nor Tigran. For AoW3 there was at least one tournament where you had to select a new race and a new class in every round.
